Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

Anja DianaAnja Diana
Overseas Region/Grafenwoehr, Germany

I was in the Express two weeks ago and want to acknowledge Anja, who was at the front by herself. The store was packed, but instead of worrying about herself and getting her customers through she began to run back and forth between each register trying to get as many customers satisfied as she could! I thought that was amazing. Anja took great initiative for making us feel she cared that we didn’t stand in there any longer then we had to! Thank you Anja!

Overseas Region/Yokota AB, Japan

Ritchel Indo continues to provide outstanding world-class customer service to this day. I first encountered her more than two years ago when I first arrived at Yokota and I was looking for a cable for my TV connection. She asked me all the right questions to determine what cable I needed. Then, I met her again when I was looking for a device so I could listen to music in my car, and again she was there to assist me. The other day, I was in the Exchange, looking for something and to my surprise, there was Ritchel, asking me if I needed assistance. I was looking for discounted men’s extra-large shirts, but couldn’t find them. She directed me to where they were. Ritchel Indo is someone who should always be out front greeting customers. She is ready for a very high profile job, where she can really show her talents in the customer service field.

I was in the store Aug 13 and had the absolute pleasure of working with Patricia. She went out of her way to assist me. She got some things ordered and arranged to have them shipped to my office in Charlottesville, Va. She was extremely nice and one can easily tell that she loves her job and even more importantly loves helping people. What a wonderful associate and representative of Fort Lee’s Military Clothing Store. Thank you so much, Patricia . . . you are awesome.

Kudos to great customer service provided by Charley’s Associate Andrew Loraditch. My husband and I go to the Little Rock Exchange just about every Sunday and eat at Charley’s, then I shop at the Exchange. Today, I was in line and Andrew was getting his lunch, so I figured I would have to wait because there were only two people: one on the register, grill and prep line and one having lunch break. This young thoughtful man, Andrew, clocked back in and promptly served the now-seven folks in line who wanted to order. He washed up and immediately started to cook the orders on grill. I have to tell you, I was very impressed! The Exchange food court management is very fortunate to have such good, loyal and thoughtful associates who take care of the customer and don’t wait to be told what to do. This kind of exceptional service needs to be recognized by Andrew’s  superiors and awarded accordingly. He goes above and beyond expectations every time we have been there to eat. Thank you for a job well done!

I have had numerous conversations with the supervisors, managers and staff who work at the Buckley AFB Exchange, and I am totally impressed with their professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm. This Exchange has the best customer service associate I have ever seen—and this includes my active duty and retirement years. I am a regular Exchange patron and I make a point of paying for my items at the Customer Service Department. I love the women who work in that department. One in particular, Cristina Kelley, is the true example of how employees should always conduct themselves: she is professional, dedicated and always has a smile on her face and a kind word every day. Cristina probably knows the name of everyone who goes through her line, and she genuinely cares about each customer. I was in the Exchange Aug. and checking out at Customer Service. I noticed a female customer talking to Cristina, and the more Cristina tried to explain to her the process of taking care of her problem, the more this customer disrespected Cristina. The rude and obnoxious customer refused to listen and made a point of raising her voice as Cristina was doing her best to help her solve her problem. No one deserved to be treated the way she treated Christina. I can honestly say that several of us standing in the line, who knew Cristina, wanted to intervene and tell this female customer where to go, but just like the professional she has always been, Cristina handled the situation with style and grace. Cristina kept her head high, kept her composure, never raised her voice and remained calm through the entire ordeal. If the Buckley AFB Exchange has a way of identifying outstanding employees, then I say this award should go to Cristina, not only for how she handled the situation with this obnoxious customer but also for her customer service talents, skills and abilities. Christina is a true winner.
