November’s Customer Shoutouts: These Associates ROCK!

In all my experiences at the PX, I have never encountered such a great environment with over-the-top customer service as I did earlier this month. Miss Carmen assisted me in the most professional manner; she listened and completed my transaction expeditiously. Thank you, so much Miss Carmen! Most people tend to overlook the golden rule, especially when customers as myself, are not familiar with certain AAFES protocols. I really appreciate her taking the time and patience to treat me like a person, and not a transaction.

Nick Ingram
Central Region/Tinker AFB, Okla.

I received outstanding service from Nick Ingram in the furniture department. He was very professional, knew his inventory, flawlessly knowledgeable of Exchange procedures and policies and maintained a “Can-do” attitude. I had shopped several stores, before getting to Nick, and they were all indifferent and seemingly unconcerned. Not Nick! He was keen to get the appliance I wanted ASAP. When the on-hand inventory did not have what I wanted, Nick immediately helped me set up an online account right there in the store! Nick ensured that everything was correct and then made sure the order was correct. Nick then explained exactly what was going to happen to get the appliance, from start to finish. I do not think I have ever been so well informed about an online purchase as I have been with Nick. The Kenmore representative called me today and confirmed everything Nick told me about what would happen. Nick should be seriously considered for advancement as soon as the opportunity permits. Well done, Exchange, for hiring Nick, a true ambassador of what the Exchange can do right for its customers.

At the Hohenfels Military Clothing Store, Angela has been the most incredible supervisor. We make several orders for our JROTC program here at Hohenfels High School. She always has the best customer service attitude when I come in with last-minute orders for our cadets and students. We really appreciate her willingness to always help us figure out solutions to uniform issues.

Kim Yon-Sik

At the Camp Humpheys’ Gas Station, I would like to say that Mr. Kim, the supervisor, went above and beyond his duty by helping me get my car started so I could get to work on time. My vehicle was broken down at the gas station and he came to aid. He also took his time to get my gas card working, which was having difficulty getting to work. I would like to add that during my time pumping gas, he was all over the place assisting others. Very inspirational. Great Job Mr. Kim!

Joy Carney
Western Region/JB Lewis-McChord, Wash.

I sent my Soldiers into the Military Clothing Store to square away their ASUs for an upcoming inspection. My Soldiers told me about this lady who went above and beyond in taking care of them. So I ask how so. My Soldiers told me the lady helped out in making sure they had the right awards an unit citations. She also distinctively showed and teached the Soldiers by the regulation using the awards book you guys sale there. This led the way for five of my Soldiers passing their ASUs inspection in September—all because of your associate Joy. I have been in the military for about 18 years now, and not once have I ran across of an associate who has so much devotion and drive to helping Soldiers be their best. It is a real honor in today’s Army to know we still have people like Joy who is so all about taking care of our Nation’s Heroes. She is a hero in my book because of her dedication and fortitude to serve others. I say “Thank you.” Joy went above and beyond, and I will recommend more Soldiers in my unit ask for Joy by name because she simply puts troops first.
