I wore the uniform of heroes who went before me to fight for America’s freedom. One of the most valuable lessons I learned while in the Army is that blood, sweat and tears are also a part of the uniform.
My tremendous fear of guns drove me straight into the United States Army. What better way to overcome my fears than to become best friends with an M16. Not only did I overcome my deepest fear, but I also wore the uniform of heroes who went before me to fight for America’s freedom.
One of the most valuable lessons I learned while in the Army is that blood, sweat and tears are also a part of the uniform.
I would never trade my time served in the Army for any other experience. Before enlisting, I never thought that I would have lived in places like South Korea or Hawaii. An MWR trip even afforded me a week in China.
What fear of guns? I now have my gun license. Joining the U.S. Army was the best decision I could have ever made. I am a Soldier who served the world’s greatest nation, and until the day I die, no one can take that away from me.
