I joined the military to gain disciple and have them pay for my college. During my years of service, I’ve meet many new people, gained the discipline I was searching for and graduated from college.
I joined the Army National Guard while I was a junior in high school. After completing my basic training, I went back home to finish my senior year. After graduation, went to Fort Jackson, S.C., to complete my training.
I joined the military to gain disciple and have them pay for my college. During my years of service, I’ve meet many new people, gained the discipline I was searching for and graduated from college—first one in my family to complete college. That’s a huge accomplishment.
Furthermore, I gained a new skill as an auto mechanic. My most memorable time in the service is when we pulled security for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and met many of the world’s athletes and even a few celebrities.
