February's Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

C.J. Johnson
Europe Region/Grafenwoehr, Germany

I came with my husband in November to buy boots for winter. I am currently a pregnant Soldier, so I need good comfortable shoes that I can also wear at work. When I came to the shoe section of the store, C.J. approached us and asked if we needed assistance. He was respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable about great shoes for winter and abiding by Army standards. He also found shoes that fit my needs and were on a special sale. He made my shopping experience an enjoyable one.

Akiko Kuda and Akane Toguchi
Pacific Region/Kadena AB, Japan

In the main store’s jewelry department, my wife and I wanted to upgrade her engagement ring and wedding band. During the two-week process that took several visits, we had the pleasure of working with the most professional and accommodating associates imaginable. Not only were Akiko and Akane patient and understanding, but they also bent over backward to meet our needs. They made us feel we were their only focus. This lack of pressure permitted my wife the freedom to select three rings. It’s professionals like this that drive home the Exchange  slogan of “Serving the Best Customers in the World.” Despite long days of dealing with indecisive and often demanding shoppers, Akiko and Akane never failed to smile. Associates like them keep us coming back to the Exchange.

Keisha Brown and Toni Powell
Eastern Region/Fort Gordon, Ga.

Kesha and Toni at Fort Gordon Optical Center are the best customer service employees ever. I first met them when I was stationed at Fort Gordon in 2012-2014. On my most recent visit, they jumped right in and took great care of me, although I am no longer stationed there, saying that I am “family.”  They are so professional and make you feel special. It’s not fake; I can tell it come from the heart. I always recommend to seek them out. They truly represent your company in the most professional way and in the manner you wish all associates represent you. They are the best, hands down!

Holly Brown
Central Region/Keesler AFB, Miss.

I live a few hours from Keesler AFB, the nearest military installation. Being retired from the military for quite some time, I decided to buy a uniform due to my involvement with military activities around my home. With little knowledge of current uniform trends/requirements, I walked into the Military Clothing Store ignorant of what all I needed. Holly responded in a huge manner, asking about my background tp ensure I had everything I needed, pulling each item badge, ribbon, stripe from the shelf, walking me to each clothing need for correct size. She even directed me on alteration needs. I left the uniforms to be tailored and knew I would be back around Thanksgiving. During that month, I thought of other items I wanted, came back on Black Friday, walked in and was very grateful Holly was at the register. Once again, and in superb fashion, she personally assisted in finding all I needed, even some that were on clearance. She epitomized the customer service and attention the Exchange promotes to its associates. What could have been a confusing and exhaustive shopping experience was completely dissolved by her willingness, patience and positive interaction. My salute to her!

Diana Kriegar and Lisa Rowell
Western Region/JB Lewis-McChord, Wash.

I often use the Exchange at McChord AFB for my shopping needs. On Nov. 17, I was assisted by Lisa and Diane at the Exchange. Lisa works in customer service and assisted me with an exchange. She was extremely helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable regarding store policy and procedure. We also checked out that day after making a purchase with Diane. She was also very knowledgeable and friendly. Diane also provided us with Exchange sales information and booklets. We had another great experience shopping at JBLM.

Sharon Owens
HQ/CP Contact Center

A retired staff sergeant wanted all of us to know that Ms. Sharon was helpful, excited and a very special representative of The Exchange. The sergeant called stressed and not in a very good mood, but after talking with Ms. Sharon, felt like she could have a positive rest of her day. Really fantastic job to Ms. Sharon for proving that a good attitude can really make a difference.
