March’s Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

March’s Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

Tony Podhora
Europe Region/Livorno, Italy

Tony, the Exchange manager, is one of the greatest. It is very welcoming every morning he works to hear your name and names of everyone else who walks into the store called from across the room. He is great to talk with, because customer service is not just seeing how fast you check the items out, pay and leave, but it includes getting to know your customers by having small conversations. When you live in a small community like we do, this really is a great tool. To me, Tony is an outstanding associate and has that total concept understood.  The PX is for the members of the armed services and to appreciate what we do every day.

Sheila Castro
Pacific Region/Camp Humphreys, South Korea

I would like to praise a cashier, Sheila Castro. I visited the new Camp Humphreys’ Exchange  at about 1600. I was thoroughly impressed by the checkout service displayed by Sheila. As I approached her lane, she had a welcoming smile upon her face. She assisted me, as I was about the drop the items from my full arms. She was very professional, friendly and willing to provide the ultimate checkout experience! It was rewarding to have Sheila to provide an example of exemplary customer service to complete my busy day. Please praise Sheila for displaying the epitome of professional and courteous customer service!

Nancy Seymore
Eastern Region/Fort Lee, Va.

I am a civilian whose father, Gregory Alan Prudom, served 24 years in the army as a chief warrant officer 5. My father passed on Dec. 22. I had the hardest time finding his dress blues so we could give him the respect he deserved. Upon coming to the Military Clothing Store, Nancy Seymore went above and beyond to assist us in obtaining his medals. She was to get off at 1600 hours, but stayed to not only help me get the medals my father deserved, but help me arrange them. Then, she took time to remove patches that were on a set of dress blues that we purchased from an Army surplus store. People like her who renew my faith in not only humanity, but God as well.

Andrea Morrow
Central Region/Offutt AFB, Neb.

During my past two visits, I had great customer service from Andrea. The first shopping experience was prior to Christmas and Andrea assisted me in the jewelry department. She showed me some really cool earrings, which I had never seen before. She took a great deal of time to be sure I felt valued. The next time I visited Offutt, Andrea was in the shoe department and gave me a coupon for 30 percent off ladies’ boots. Just wanted to share that Andrea did a great job and hope you realize she is a valued associate at the Offutt Exchange.

Ebony Williamson
Western Region/JB Lewis-McChord, Wash.

I’m writing you today to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding customer service I received at Auntie Anne’s at Fort Lewis. I recently left behind a purchase during the holidays and when I called nearly a week later, I was surprised and happy to learn Ebony had held on to it for me. This tells me she is sensitive to certain situations and understands how to respond appropriately, but it is also a testament to her integrity. She exemplifies what it means to deliver excellent customer care and sets a commendable standard to her team. Often, we take time to complain about disservice and do not recognize the good work people do. I hope Ebony will be recognized for her exceptional customer care and commitment to excellence!

Kenneth Floyd
HQ/CP Customer Contact Center

A customer wanted to let us know how much she appreciates Kenneth. She stated that he treated her in a professional and caring manner. She was very happy with the customer service. She also stated that it’s great to know the Exchange hires people who genuinely care about their customers
