Fort Bragg Soldier Wins Big with Your Holiday Bill Is On Us Sweepstakes
Christmas came in February for one Fort Bragg Soldier as the Exchange Credit Program paid off his MILITARY STAR® card account as part of its Your Holiday Bill Is On Us Sweepstakes.
The Exchange collaborated with the Navy Exchange, Marine Corps Exchange, Coast Guard Exchange and the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to sponsor the fifth annual sweepstakes.
Sgt. 1st Class James Williams, a platoon sergeant with the 112th Signal Battalion at Fort Bragg, was one of five grand-prize winners out of nearly 6 million entries worldwide to have his MILITARY STAR bill paid in full.
Sweepstakes living up its name
During a presentation at the Fort Bragg Exchange, Jones was presented a mock check for $2,500.
“I’ve never really been one to win sweepstakes or the lottery so I was really surprised when I found out that I had won,” Williams said. “The sweepstakes really does live up to its name. Prior to the holidays, I had paid my bill down but I bought some high-priced items for my family for Christmas.
“Having this bill paid off is really good news.”
“Our customers are heroes and it’s nice to be able to reward him with this sweepstakes.”

Exchange EVP, chief financial officer
