Wahlberg Salutes Soldiers, Airmen at Exchange Headquarters

Actor Mark Wahlberg showed his support for Soldiers and Airmen during his visit to Exchange headquarters in Dallas on April 3. Wahlberg met with Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull, Senior Enlisted Advisor Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes and other Soldiers and Airmen assigned to the Exchange’s HQ.
The Exchange and Wahlberg are partnering to improve the quality of life for Soldiers and Airmen around the world.
Performance Inspired, a line of sports nutrition products founded by Wahlberg, can be found in Exchange stores and at ShopMyExchange.com.
And, through an agreement with the Exchange, Wahlburgers—the fast-casual restaurant founded by executive chef Paul Wahlberg and brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg—is planning to open at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in the spring of 2020. Other locations for Wahlburgers are being explored.
Would love to have a Wahlburger here at HQ. While I like BK, it is time for a change.

Thank you for writing to your Exchange Post. I’m also the Exchange historian and did you know that the “food court” at HQ used to be an Exchange cafeteria? No, really. We didn’t get into the name-brand restaurant business until 1977 when Baskin-Robbins was the first name-brand restaurant to open (at Edwards AFB). Burger King was the first fast-food name-brand restaurant in the Exchange family, opening its first in 1984 in Ansbach, Germany.
