New Lunch Options at JB Andrews and Anacostia-Bolling Meet Warfighters’ Changing Needs
The Exchange launched a pop-up dining program—complete with better-for-you choices—at the Air National Guard Readiness Center at Joint Base Andrews and the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Exchange mall.
FOODA, which opened on July 29 at Andrews and Aug. 12 at JBAB, brings local brand-name and mom-and-pop restaurants to the installations for lunch daily.
These programs are the first of their kind for the Exchange. Different cuisine is offered each day, from Mediterranean to American to Chinese, so Warfighters have an array of choices otherwise unavailable to them on-installation.
Both launches were coordinated by Lani Stewart, services businesses manager at Joint Base Andrews.
“Teaming with FOODA lets us bring in exciting lunch options for the best customers in the world,” Stewart said. “The convenience and variety are sure to make FOODA a success at Andrews and Anacostia-Bolling.”
Additional FOODA locations are being explored at the other D.C.-area installations, pending a review of the first two programs.
FOODA, like all Exchange restaurants, will offer better-for-you choices as part of the Exchange’s goal to encourage a BE FIT lifestyle.
