Calling All Veterans: Submit Your Photos for Armed Forces’ Bowl Wall of Heroes
More than 85 percent of Exchange associates have a military connection, including many who served the Nation in uniform.
For a third consecutive year, the Exchange is partnering with the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to highlight Veteran associates as part of the Wall of Heroes Project.
The nationally-televised (ESPN) game is Jan. 4 at Texas Christian University’s Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
Submissions for this year’s Wall of Heroes Project need the following:
- Branch of service
- Years of service
- Military occupational specialty
- Brief description of duties during time in service (150-200 words)
- Attached high-resolution photo, in uniform, that best represents the submission (approved file formats are png, gif and jpeg)
Send submissions to StratComNews@aafes.com no later than close of business Nov. 8.
The Exchange will select 15 Veteran associates to represent this year’s Wall of Heroes. Exchange associates from the 2017 and 2018 Wall of Heroes will also be on display.
The Wall of Heroes Project has pictures of Veterans from all eras and branches and is displayed at the Veterans Village, which is outside the stadium in Lot 3. Presented by the American Red Cross, the Veterans Village will have booths from non-profit military organizations that assist Veterans.
