Iraq’s Camp Taji Exchange Reopens After Taking Direct Rocket Hit
November 6, 2019 |
The Exchange at Iraq’s Camp Taji reopened Oct. 31, slightly more than two days after suffering a direct hit from a rocket.
The store north of Baghdad is located at one of the country’s largest military installations. There were no injuries, and damage was limited to the front of the store where the rocket struck.
“The reopening so quickly after the attack came through truly outstanding partnerships with Camp Taji Command and U.S. Army support vendor,” said Philip Tinsley, Exchange regional vice president for Southwest Asia. “The Taji Exchange team will again be engaged in serving at the tip of the spear and taking care of our forward deployed Warfighters.”
