Headquarters Associates Get Fresh New Dining Option
The 3,000 associates who work at headquarters have something new to celebrate in the new year: a Qdoba restaurant in the food court.
The new restaurant, which replaced Taco Bell, is the first update to the HQ food court lineup in 10 years.
“Qdoba offers the healthier, fresher menu items associates want,” said Robert Woods, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base Exchange general manager, who also oversees HQ retail operations. “It’s a great match for our BE FIT focus.”
Trini Saucedo, senior vice president of services and food; Anna Iosefo, senior vice president of merchandising; and Michael Blankenship, HQ food court manager; joined Woods in cutting the ribbon on the restaurant.
Qdoba offers tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, tortilla soup, quesadillas and fresh-made guacamole. Dishes can be made with better-for-you ingredients, including fresh vegetables, whole-wheat tortillas and grilled chicken. Qdoba will participate in the popular Salad Wednesdays, where diners can save $2 on salads priced more than $4.
The HQ location also features a “Flavor on the Go” option, where diners can skip the line and grab from a limited menu of ready-to-go favorites, such as chips and queso or a grilled steak or chicken burrito.
Qdoba recently topped a USA Today poll of readers’ favorite fast-casual restaurants. The HQ location is the Exchange’s 19th Qdoba, with 10 more projected to open in 2020.
More changes are coming to HQ in the coming months, including a Hunt Brothers Pizza and a Chopz in the Express. Hunt Brothers Pizza is a popular quick-serve option in Exchange Expresses worldwide, while Chopz is a newer addition to the Exchange family that offers subs, burritos, salads and breakfast.
The HQ Qdoba is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
