Exchanges at Fort Lee and Fort Leonard Wood set up two mobile barbershops this past weekend for Soldiers who had no other way to get their military haircuts.

The mobile barbers highlight the Exchange’s legacy of providing mission-essential services to Warfighters, especially in a time of need.

The Exchange managers at Fort Lee and Fort Leonard Wood worked with the Logistics Directorate to get the mobile shops delivered from the Waco Distribution Center. Since the shops open, about 200 Soldiers at each installation received haircuts.

“Command is very appreciative of our efforts,” said Fort Leonard Wood General Manager Beth Pritchard. “We have plenty of recruits here at Leonard Wood, and command didn’t want them to put on military uniforms until they had regulation military haircuts.”

Fort Leonard Wood’s Exchange had a mobile barbershop delivered from the Waco DC to provide mission-essential military haircuts.
