GM Bill Shoffner presents Services Business Manager Cheryl Chevis with a Thanks award for taking care of her team as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

To Cheryl Chevis, her team members are four of the most valuable people in her life.

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Fort Bragg services business manager has created safety packages for teammates Services Business Tech Brenda Frazier, Operations Assistant Debbie Hunt, Customer Experience Associate John Leak and Vending Operations Assistant Richard Wise.

The kits included a homemade face mask, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.

“My colleagues show up every day to work knowing we are mission essential and play a vital role in supporting our community,” said Chevis, whose group also handles services at Seymour Johnson AFB “They are my top priorities.”

To team members, Chevis is doing what she always does.

“She has always put us first and makes sure we have everything we need to do our jobs,” said Services Operations Assistant Deborah Hunt. “It’s amazing that she is looking out for the health and well-being of everyone on the team.”

For her work, Chevis received a Thanks award from General Manager Bill Shoffner for her family serving family spirit.

“Cheryl is so close to her team that she checks on them daily to see if they and their families are OK physically and emotionally,” Shoffner said. “This shows true compassion for the people she sees every day.”
