Associates Can Celebrate LGBTQ Pride with Virtual Photo Wall
Members and allies of the Exchange’s LGBTQ community can celebrate Pride Month by submitting a photo of themselves to be included on the Exchange People Respecting Individuality, Diversity and Equality (PRIDE) special emphasis group’s Virtual Photo Wall.
Through June 22, associates can upload a photo of themselves to the Exchange PRIDE portal. The photos will be made available on the portal as part of a video montage at the end of the month. Photos should adhere to the following specifications:
- File names should use this format: [associate’s last name] [associate’s first name].jpg.
- Go to the Exchange PRIDE Virtual Photo Wall located here.
- Click “Upload.”
- Navigate to the location of your photo file on your hard drive, click on the photo once and click “OK.”
- Click “OK” on the portal site.
- Optionally, you may include a short message with your photo using this template. Comments must be in good taste.
Associates may also submit photos from their private email address to diversityinclusion@aafes.com for inclusion on the portal or send them to the Exchange Associate Twitter page.
Every June, the Exchange recognizes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender associates for their dedicated service to the Exchange mission and our Nation. Pride Month is an occasion that brings the LGBTQ community together with their family, friends and allies to take pride in themselves and their many achievements.
During Pride Month, the Exchange celebrates America’s rich diversity and renews its enduring commitment to equality for all members of the Exchange.
Associates with questions about the Virtual Photo Wall may contact Merisa Trevino at trevinome@aafes.com or 214-312-3565. For more information on this year’s Pride Month activities, click here.
