Associates Can Come Together This Juneteenth by Contributing to Virtual Cookbook
The COVID-19 pandemic may mean Exchange associates can’t get together to celebrate Juneteenth in person this year, but they can be united in spirit by contributing to the Building Resources in Diversity Growth of Employees (BRIDGE) Special Emphasis Program’s Juneteenth virtual cookbook.
Through June 18, associates of all cultural backgrounds are invited to submit their best personal and family recipes, which will be compiled into a virtual cookbook in celebration of the June 19 holiday, which commemorates the end of American slavery.
Associates worldwide can follow these instructions to submit a recipe:
- Save the recipe to a Word document or PDF using this template.
- Filenames should follow this format: [LAST NAME of associate] [FIRST NAME of associate] [NAME OF RECIPE].doc or .pdf.
- Go to the BRIDGE Virtual Cookbook portal folder.
- Click the “Upload” button.
- Browse to the file’s location on your computer, click on the file and click “OK.”
- Put a short synopsis of your recipe in the description box on the portal’s upload page.
- Click “OK.”
Associates may also submit recipes from their personal email accounts to diversityinclusion@aafes.com.
