For Three Decades, Grafenwoehr Exchange Associate Has Lived ‘We Go Where You Go’ Motto

“I truly enjoy what I do,” said Paul Rincon, an Exchange business manager at Grafenwoehr. “From the smiles and laughs, being able to be there for our Soldiers and bring them what they need on a daily basis, the Exchange allows me to provide the Soldiers with a home away from home.”

For three decades, Paul Rincon, an Army & Air Force Exchange Service business manager at Grafenwoehr, has supported troops. The Tunica, Miss. native, also has two brothers who have served in the military and truly understands the meaning of service.

“I truly enjoy what I do,” Rincon said. “From the smiles and laughs, being able to be there for our Soldiers and bring them what they need on a daily basis, the Exchange allows me to provide the Soldiers with a home away from home.”

Rincon has worked from the bottom up. He started as a food server, has helped managed one of the largest gas stations in Europe; and helped with renovations across six different countries. He has deployed to Croatia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar to serve Warfighters.

“The Exchange treats me like family, and I have grown within the company,” Rincon said. “I love training. I can train from sunup to sundown and I like helping or just being a part of a deployment, making it happen.”

Over the years, part of Rincon’s training has involved deployments in support of three military training exercises across Poland. During the military training exercises, Rincon has mentored Poland supervisors to take over as store managers and worked with team leaders in deploying mobile field exchanges (MFEs).

The Exchange has four MFEs in Poland at the remote locations of Konotop, Ziemsko, Glebokie and Ziemsko supporting U.S. Soldiers. Rincon has been to each location- supervising, supporting and working with teams to make sure troops are cared for.

“He is instrumental in the support and execution of our operations in Poland,” said Col. Scott McFarland, commander of the Exchange’s Europe/Southwest Asia Region. “We are very fortunate to have him supervising our teams, consistently delivering on the Exchange’s ‘We Go Where You Go’ promise.”
