The disasters include raging forest fires in the Pacific Northwest; floods and volcanic eruptions around the world; 2005’s Hurricane Katrina; 2012’s Superstorm Sandi; 2017’s hurricanes Irma and Maria; 2018’s Hurricane Michael; and 2019’s Hurricane Dorian.
