125 Years of Family Serving Family – Emmanuel Belt
One in a series honoring the Exchange’s 125 years of family serving family
As a member of the Arkansas National Guard and a senior at the University of Arkansas, Emmanuel Belt was not too certain what his life after graduation would look like.
Just before he graduated, the Exchange made a recruiting visit to his school. Belt was impressed and became a college management trainee. Now, 32 years later, the Fort Knox Military Clothing Sales manager could not be happier with his decision.
“I love what I do and serving those who serve,” Belt said. “After serving myself, I enjoy keeping that connection with the Soldiers.”
Belt served in the Army for 33 years, mostly in the National Guard. He was on active duty for a deployment to Afghanistan as well as other missions in the war on terror. Belt retired as a lieutenant colonel in June 2014.
“Most Exchange employees are connected to the customer they serve,” Belt said. “It’s an honor every day to serve them and to connect with new Soldiers.”
LTC Belt is the best
We think so too, Clifton! Hope you enjoyed his story.
