The Army & Air Force Exchange Service reopened its Fort Bliss Doña Ana Range Complex troop store on Oct. 1. Stocked with emergency supplies, toiletries, snacks, drinks and more, the troop store serves Warfighters and Department of Defense civilians participating in mobilization training.

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service reopened its Fort Bliss Doña Ana Range Complex troop store, which serves Warfighters and Department of Defense civilians participating in mobilization training, on Oct. 1.

The store, which is stocked with emergency supplies, toiletries, snacks, drinks and more, was last open in 2012, after which it was turned over to the installation.

More recently, the Exchange has supported training missions at the range with Mobile Field Exchanges (MFEs), 53-foot trailers that serve as Exchanges on wheels, typically supporting first responders after natural disasters and service members deployed to contingency sites around the world.

“Transitioning our support efforts at Doña Ana to a brick-and-mortar location eliminates the need for the logistics and utilities costs required for deploying an MFE, which will realize a cost savings for the installation,” said Fort Bliss Exchange General Manager Michael Brennan. “We’re honored to bring troops preparing for mobilization at Fort Bliss a taste of home and look forward to supporting more training exercises in the future.”
