COVID-19 Heroes: Command Honors Jordan Team for Unwavering Service

JTC award

Army & Air Force Exchange Service associates with the Joint Training Center Troop Store in Jordan recently received certificates of appreciation from JTC leadership for their hard work and dedication during Operation Spartan Shield.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, the troop store worked in lockstep with command to bring safe, sanitized and secure shopping to Soldiers. JTC leadership allowed the troop store to remain open to meet the needs of their Soldiers.

“Working alongside the leadership here and following COVID safety measures, we are able to keep serving our troops,” said store manager Osama Alzyod. “Whether it’s buying a cold soft drink or a snack, we are here for them.”

The associates received certificates of appreciation from the 301st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and from 2nd Battalion, 130th Infantry Regiment leadership for their steadfast service during the pandemic.

“We couldn’t be happier to be here serving our troops,” Alzyod said. “We are honored to serve those who serve.”
