Yvonne Rivas
Luke AFB – Optometry

Yvonne has been with the Luke AFB optometry center for the last 10 years. She was promoted to General Manager in March 2020. Since Yvonne’s promotion, she has really stepped up and, with hard work, promoted the optical center with media announcements, ensuring the advertisements are being posted around Luke AFB as well as on social media to reach a wider audience. Even during these difficult times, she has worked to make sure all customers are taken care of. Yvonne continues to make it better so our service men and women are getting the best care when they visit the Luke optical center. Thank you, Yvonne, for your continued support and dedication!

Maudryana Batiste
Fort Bliss – Purple Heart Burger King

Maudryana is continuously pushing herself to gain knowledge so she can better serve the Exchange and its family. She leads with this knowledge and shares it with her team members daily. The entire team provides great customer service that is reflected in the 30 customer surveys they receive monthly. Focusing on the drive-thru enables the team to maintain an average service speed of 2 minutes and 18 seconds monthly. This helps the facility maintain its average daily sales of $4,000 and over $1.2 million for the year. Their gross profit for the year was maintained at 73.3%. Maydryana is always pleasant and positive while performing her duties and shows the importance of Family Serving Family.

Christian Shaw Harris
McChord AFB Main Store – Firearms Associate

Christian has worked at the McChord AFB firearms counter for over a year and has been a model associate. He is able to work well under pressure and continues to ensure proper compliance with Exchange, ATF and Washington state policy and protocols on firearm purchases.  With his positive, can-do attitude, we have been able to maintain and keep the flow of sales going through 2020. We sold 1,785 firearms, which is 29.5% more than what was sold in 2019. He has received numerous customer comments about the great service he provides at the firearms counter. Way to go, Christian!
