Associates enrolled in the Department of Defense Non-Appropriated Fund Health Plan will get to experience a new-and-improved Aetna online wellness program starting June 1.

The new, more streamlined experience will include an updated health assessment; new and simplified online coaching programs (called “Journeys” under the new platform); an expanded selection of 20 selectable languages; and the ability for enrolled associates to customize the experience with their own background image and profile photo.

Journeys on the new platform will fall under topics such as getting active; eating healthy; sleeping well; reducing stress; managing finances; alcohol use; anxiety and depression; back, muscle and joint health; being tobacco free; blood pressure; cholesterol; and more.

“Completing these programs is a great way to reduce your deductible and coinsurance, and you can carry over the credit you earn for up to three years,” said Director of Benefits Kelli Rhody. “With the new Journeys format, the process is streamlined and simplified, displaying only the steps needed for completion rather than having multiple stages with their own respective steps.”

Associates enrolled in the plan should ensure any wellness coaching programs already underway are completed by May 31 to receive credit. Additionally, the site will not retain the results of health assessments completed prior to the launch of the new platform, so associates who wish to keep a record of their assessments will have until May 31 to do so.

To download past health assessment results, associates should:

  1. Open their most recent health assessment result.
  2. Click on the “Download’ button at the top of the report.
  3. Once the page opens, right-click anywhere and select “Save as” to save to your computer or “Print” if you wish to keep a physical record.

The new site will also include an FAQ and tutorial to guide associates through the new platform and show them how to complete the new Journeys. Any additional questions about the site can be answered by calling the DoD NAF Health Program at 1-800-367-6276.
