Exchange Shoppers Generate $153 Million for Military Communities in 2020

Exchange shoppers contributed $153 million in earnings to critical military Quality-of-Life programs at installations worldwide in 2020.

It matters where Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians and their families shop, and authorized Exchange shoppers are doing their part to strengthen their communities. In 2020, Exchange shoppers generated $153 million for critical military Quality-of-Life programs.

Exchange shoppers contributed $153 million in earnings to critical military Quality-of-Life programs at installations worldwide in 2020.

Whether shopping at the Barksdale BX, the Camp Humphreys PX or online at ShopMyExchange.com, 100% of Exchange earnings support the military community. In the past 10 years, the Exchange has contributed $2.1 billion to programs that support readiness and resiliency, including Child, Youth and School Services; Armed Forces Recreation Centers; and more.

In addition to the Army and Air Force, the Exchange serves Navy and Marine Corps communities at select locations and online. In 2020, dividends to each service totaled:

  • Army:              $89 million
  • Air Force:         $48 million
  • Marines:           $12 million
  • Navy:               $4 million
