Ebony is a true example of what it means to serve Soldiers, their families and the Exchange. She is thorough in everything she does and strives to better herself by asking questions and showing a true eagerness to learn and understand when it comes to the hardlines department and her team. Despite the inventory constraints, the team managed to increase department sales by 4%. Department 91’s current YTD sales are $362,612 vs 2019’s sales of $348,073.  Ebony’s continued efforts making sure prices are always correct ensures that her departments are ready each day to guarantee her customers have a superior visit every time. Year-to-date, Ebony’s departments have the highest driver for MILITARY STAR penetration, contributing $941,761 of MILITARY STAR to the Exchange. Customers often return to the Exchange complimenting Ebony’s customer service, patience and efforts. Thank you, Ebony for your excellent representation of the Exchange!

Gerlie Hammel
Subway Foreman
Tyndall AFB

Throughout the pandemic, Gerlie Hammel has worked tirelessly for the Exchange. She is a dedicated and loyal associate who is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Her Subway closed for a few months, and she went to work at Charleys, then the Express. Now you can find masks at grocery stores, gas stations and even the dollar store, but at one point you couldn’t find masks for sale, and there weren’t materials available to make masks either. Gerlie made masks for the whole food court from any materials she could get her hands on. She made some beautiful masks and pretty soon, other associates were asking her to make them masks. She kept us all in masks so we could do our jobs, serving the best customers in the world. She is one of our unsung heroes for the pandemic.

Dorothy Beasley & Kristy Stone
Services Operations Assistants
Fort Benning

Dorothy and Kristy displayed excellent teamwork during the Ranger Rendezvous Festival from July 19 through 22. To support the event, they worked tirelessly in coordinating eight food trucks, meeting with each vendor onsite to set up parking placements and scheduling each vendor for food inspections.  Both associates provided a high level of customer satisfaction with a smile through excellent service to 1,500+ service members and their families. The Exchange achieved sales totaling more than $20,000 for another successful event.
