Misawa Associate Earns Praise for Customer Service: ‘Her Customers Always Walk Away Happy’

Yui Namioka’s work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to help others make her a perfect fit for customer service.

Misawa Air Base – Yui Namioka, Misawa Exchange customer service associate, has been working for the Exchange for four years. She started at Pizza Hut and within six months she transferred to the customer service desk, where she is gaining positive recognition from her peers and supervisors.

“Her personality and knowledge really help our customers feel like they are on center stage while she takes care of their needs, no matter how big or small,” Sales & Merchandise Manager Raymond Perez said. “Her customers always walk away happy.”

Namioka wanted to transfer to customer service because she wanted more interaction with Airmen and their families. She soon recognized the importance of great customer service.

“I love my job because I enjoy helping others, especially our customers,” Namioka said. “I don’t just represent me but I represent the Exchange and Japan.”

Namioka possesses multiple skills that make her a vital member of the Misawa Exchange team, where she fills many important roles.

“Yui can work the register, process returns, set up school lunch accounts and even help out with buy online, pick up in store orders,” Perez said. “She is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she is needed.”

In Namioka’s short time at the service desk, her forward thinking identified ways to not only help her customers but also assist in more efficient store operations.

“On a daily basis, Yui goes above and beyond to take care of her customers and our store,” Perez said. “We are very happy that she works here at the Misawa Exchange.”
