Chericel exemplifies Family Serving Family. She is a former Army spouse who has served the Exchange for 10 years. Chericel is dedicated and devoted to her duty as a store worker and takes great pride in overseeing the Snack Avenue operations at Butner Express. Due to her focus on excellence, Snack Avenue has increased sales 58%, or $63,185, above prior year and 67% or $68,895 above annual financial plan, achieving year-to-date sales of $172,388. She consistently hits her gross margin goal of 48% YTD and GP of $83,468, which is $33,670 or 68% above least year YTD and $52,424 or 169% above AFP YTD. It is her daily drive for excellence and her commitment to taking care of our customers that has led to the Butner Express Snack Avenue consistently being in the top three snack avenues in the Eastern Region.
John Wharton

Langley-Eustis Exchange
John Wharton has worked with the Exchange for almost 23 years. During this time, he has demonstrated an outstanding dedication to his customers at the Fort Eustis food court. He is always the first to say “yes” when needed to complete any task; he does an AWESOME job keeping the lobby clean and is often seen helping in our brand food concepts. John always has a GREAT attitude with his co-workers and customers. His positive attitude has resulted in increased foot traffic and a 17% increase in YTD sales. John demonstrates the Exchange’s core values of Family Serving Family, Respect Everyone and Courage to Use Good Judgement. He is truly an asset to the Fort Eustis food court and Joint Base Langley-Eustis Exchange.
Felicia Flores

Charleston Air Force Base
Felicia Flores is a classic example of Family Serving Family. She is an Army spouse with two sons in the Air Force and a daughter on an Army scholarship at Texas A&M. She has been with the Exchange for four years and has been at Joint Base Charleston for four months. Felicia has worked quickly to develop her network and has created an outstanding relationship with JB Charleston’s community partners and vendors. Her partnerships have led to a significant increase in foot traffic in our Exchange facilities through marketing and promoting events on JB Charleston’s social-media pages. Her marketing efforts have directly contributed to the success of JB Charleston’s operating results and to keeping the Exchange relevant in the eyes of our customers.
