KMC Exchange Hosts Baskin-Robbins Grand Opening
Service members and their families can once again enjoy the great flavors of Baskin-Robbins at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Exchange at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. After a soft opening in early November, the KMC Exchange hosted the grand opening Nov. 9.
Chief Executive Officer of BeeBusy GmbH Jari Stus, a franchise operator and contract holder for BR and Dunkin Donut brands in Germany, joined KMC Exchange General Manager Jennifer Jordan; Exchange Europe/Southwest Asia/Africa Region Commander Col. Don Nowlin; Exchange Europe/Southwest Asia/Africa Region Senior Enlisted Advisor Sgt. Maj. Lemakius Gardner and KMC Exchange Service Business Manager Bill Williams in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The original Baskin-Robbins closed over the summer for a facelift that included upgraded fixtures and a new streamlined modern look.
“We are thrilled to be opening Baskin-Robbins for our KMC community,” Jordan said. “We hope our customers enjoy the store. Along with having more ice cream selections, Baskin-Robbins also has their famous ice cream cakes now available.”
In 1977, Baskin-Robbins became the Exchange’s first brand-name restaurant, opening in a train car at Edwards Air Force Base. Although the Edwards location closed a few years ago, Baskin-Robbins has maintained its relationship with the Exchange, with more than 20 Baskin-Robbins locations at Exchanges worldwide.
