KMC Exchange Hosts Bath & Body Works Grand Opening
There was excitement in the air as shoppers at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center Exchange gathered in anticipation for the grand opening of the Bath & Body Works store Nov. 19 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
“I look forward to stepping into the store,” said Tech. Sgt. Leticia Gutierrez, a fleet management and analysis with 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron. “It reminds me of home and I’m excited that we now have more of a variety to choose from.”
Deputy Director John Faulkner, 86th Mission Support Group, joined KMCC Exchange General Manager Jennifer Jordan; Exchange Europe/Southwest Asia/Africa Region Commander Col. Don Nowlin; Senior Director Military Sales and Service Tiffany Taylor; and KMCC Exchange Store Manager Carla McDowell in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“The Exchange strives to provide goods, products and services that our customers want and need at the level of customer service that they deserve,” Nowlin said. “So, I’m proud to present this opportunity to our customers.”
The 1,632-square-foot Bath & Body Works is the latest store to open at the KMCC and the first overseas location on an Army or Air Force installation.
“Having Bath & Body Works as part of the Exchange helps us give back to the community,” Jordan said. “The sales that are made here contribute to the dividend that we provide back to the communities. So it’s an honor to bring something like this that people want and are excited about—and makes them feel good—when they are so far from home and family.”
