The hard work and dedication to our service men and women provided by Ayodhya Hakim, Douglas Clemence and Chiara Businarolo are outstanding. Their efforts to continuously find new ways to provide that extra customer care are appreciated, and we are proud to have them on the Europe team!

Ayodhya Hakim

In 2020, Mr. Hakim deployed from Joint Base Lewis-McChord  to serve our troops at the tip of the spear. His first assignment was a Tiger Team/Ops Squad to help with operations closures in Afghanistan. As one of the last deployees to leave Afghanistan, he continued to oversee the cross-balancing of $2 million in inventory to SWA facilities. Mr. Hakim was instrumental in helping Logistics  set up a store in Qatar to support Afghan guests and two holiday bazaars for the troops—with sales of $506,000 and earnings of $101,000 for the Kuwait Exchange. As the acting SBM for Kuwait/Jordan, he continues his support of the Exchange mission for our deployed service members!

Douglas Clemence

Panzer Main Exchange

Doug has been an ICA for six months at the Panzer Main Store and has already made a tremendous impact in his area of responsibility. His dedication to maintain Plan-o-Gram integrity and negative on-hand management has resulted in a 14% increase in departmental sales for Department 30. Doug has also shown his commitment to his community by stepping up to help when we needed a Santa for the Christmas season this year. He gladly took on the role with Santa and THE GRINCH!  Both were greatly received by the Stuttgart Community. Doug has selflessly given his own time to ensure members of our community have a wonderful holiday season.

Chiara Businarolo
Customer Service Associate
Vicenza Main Store

Chiara has been with the Vicenza Exchange family for over 20 years. As part of our Customer Service Team, she does an outstanding job ensuring our customers are taken care of. She is an expert in all customer service operations and is always willing to share her job knowledge with her teammates. She champions Exchange programs and in November was the top performer on her team for opening new MILITARY STAR accounts. Chiara has a passion for customer service that translates into an outstanding performance. She always sees even the most complicated issues through to ensure our customers leave satisfied. We recently received this customer comment, “Chiara truly cares about her customers, and you can tell by how she solves our concerns personally.”  Thank you, Chiara, for treating our customers as family!
