OPERATION: Call Out—Eastern Region

Eastern Region is proudly recognizing Yolanda Wilson, Carlah Bronson and Beverly Hambrick for their contributions and support of the Exchange Mission.  Their focus on customer service is a priority, and it shows in the results!  Thanks for all you do!

Yolanda Wilson
Shift Manager
Fort Stewart Marne Express

Yolanda took Family Serving Family to a new height by helping to save a young Soldier’s life the first week of January. While doing her nightly rounds of the pumps, Yolanda noticed a Soldier lying on the ground in front of his vehicle, saying “I do not want to die.”  The young man was incoherent. She immediately called 911 and stayed with the young man until help arrived. Yolanda’s compassion, quick response, and level head during a time of crisis made all the difference. She is a tremendous example of an Exchange associate demonstrating two of our core values, Courage to Use Good Judgement and Family Serving Family. Yolanda is literally a lifesaving HERO!

Carlah Bronson
Barbershop Manager
Eglin/Hurlburt Exchange

Carlah is a dedicated Air Force spouse who has worked for many Exchange barbershops throughout her travels over the last 20 years. The past five years, she has managed the five barbershops at the Eglin/Hurlburt Exchange. Carlah is the driving force that keeps the lights on and the doors open for our valued customers. The Panama City area is still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Michael in 2018, which caused a housing and labor shortage in the area. Carlah found inventive ways to ensure the Tyndall Barbershop stayed open despite this obstacle. Then in 2020, COVID arrived, and the Tyndall Barbershop suffered another exodus of skilled barbers, often resulting in the barber shop having only  one barber. During these times, Carlah continued to step up, often on short notice, to make a four-hour roundtrip commute to assist and make sure the shop stayed open. She never hesitates to go the extra mile. Carlah has been instrumental in maintaining the high standard of cleanliness and professionalism our customers expect. She maintains an extremely high level of customer service, and insists on impeccable sanitation standards, all while wearing a bright welcoming smile. The Eglin/Hurlburt/7th/Duke & Tyndall community is very thankful for her dedication and service.

Beverly Hambrick
Charleys Foreman
Tyndall AFB

To keep the morale high for her team and our customers, Beverly has helped to organize and execute six special events at the Tyndall Food Court. She assists with preparing for the event and ensures all entry forms are completed correctly. Her favorite part is calling the winning customer to hear their delight when they’re told they won. She has helped to restore some of the “normal” we enjoyed in the past.  Beverly is kind to all she meets and is a large part of the heart that makes Tyndall beat. The results of her efforts show in the double-digit increase in both sales and earnings.
