The hard work and dedication to our service men and women provided by Ashley London, Rebekah Connell and Cristina Pengo are outstanding. Their efforts to continuously find new ways to provide that extra customer care are appreciated, and we are proud to have them on the Europe team!

Ashley London

In an ever-changing environment with challenges of military DES rotations, Ashley has been a pillar for Exchange operations. As part of the COR Team, she overseas installation access for 7 MPAs and 84 Concession contracts, consisting of 993 associates. Her contribution to the COR team and the base installation access process is invaluable. Ashley always comes through with solutions for potential problems, which helps the Exchange provide uninterrupted essential services and a taste of home to our valued deployed service members at the tip of the spear. As the SPOT system in charge, her attention to detail resulted in the Exchange attaining 99.8% accuracy in the HQ Contracting Office/CENTCOM 4th quarter 2021 audit. Her hard work and determination helped to ensure the SW Asia Exchange team is always ready to support the Exchange mission!

Rebekah Connell

Lakenheath Main Store

In search of a new challenge, Rebekah requested a transfer to the Center Pad. During her time leading the Center Pad team, Rebekah completed the first module of GIA and has been integral in driving sales to achieve an 11% jewelry increase, 3.4% cosmetics increase in the fourth quarter and a 15.9% jewelry EPP sales increase YTD.  Rebekah’s thirst for knowledge and approachability are key factors in her success leading a knowledgeable, professional, customer-oriented sales team.  She prides herself on providing the best standard of service.  Rebekah is truly an asset to the Lakenheath community.

Cristina Pengo

Cristina has been part of the Vicenza Main Store family for over 17 years and currently works as an early morning stocker in the Linens & Sewing department. She also recently became one of the AEJS representatives for our Stockroom Team. Her commitment to ensuring her areas are always fully stocked and customer-ready is evident with sales 36% above last year and markdowns 59% below last year.  Her many years of experience allow her to cover any department and she graciously replenishes merchandise in whatever departments have the greatest need.  She consistently works in the most efficient manner, completing stocking duties while also taking care of our customers with great professionalism.  She has received many customer comments thanking her for her service. Cristina shows that she is truly dedicated to the Exchange vision to provide exceptional customer experiences by ensuring our customers always find what they need.
