Solimar Rivera Torres, Brianna Calhoun-Patterson and Wendy Skapik are truly outstanding associates who are passionate about enhancing the customer experience. They represent the superior teammates we have across the entire Central Region. They show great enthusiasm in their work and strive to exemplify our core values daily. We are honored to have them on our team and thank them for representing Central Region.

Solimar goes above and beyond daily. She has a great relationship with our customers and her teammates. Solimar works wherever she’s needed—she will stock, clean, make labels, anything that will make the day-to-day operations run smooth. She never has a negative thing to say, helps to train new associates and is always eager to learn something new.  Solimar has great attendance and has not let the pandemic dampen her spirits.  For these reasons Solimar is a great asset to our 1st Cavalry team and we’d like to give her a “Shout Out” and not just a “Call Out.”

Brianna has been training with Services Business Manager Charles Danner for the past six months.  During this time, she learned how to write requirements, input sales, update NEWFMF, conduct PSARs and much more. Brianna has been a terrific asset to the Minot/Grand Forks Services team.  Her eagerness to learn and help grow the business has resulted in much success in growing the department and fostering a positive environment among the vendors.

Since the COVID pandemic began, sales trends have dropped significantly due to Health Protection Condition levels on the installation driving maximum teleworking and virtual classes vs. in-person attendance. Wendy maintained a positive mentality and continued to assist the food operations wherever they needed her, such as Burger King and Starbucks during times of short staffing. She has  great attention to detail and provides exceptional customer service in all she does. Recently, Wendy took it upon herself to brainstorm with her peers on ways to keep the operation relevant, which resulted in how the team would move forward amid the current HPCON environment. Wendy’s focus and team efforts led to an executable action plan that had the buy-in of her peers.  Thank you, Wendy, for all you do!
