Popeyes Grand Opening Brings Southern-style Chicken and More to Cannon AFB
Airmen and families at Cannon Air Force Base have a new dining option with last week’s opening of a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at the Cannon Exchange.
27th Special Operations Wing Commander Col. Terence Taylor and 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group Commander Col. Todd Randolph joined Cannon AFB Exchange leaders in cutting the ribbon on the Popeyes on April 13.
Popeyes offers Southern-style chicken, seafood, sandwiches and more. The menu includes a variety of BE FIT better-for-you options, with more than 20 items with 350 calories or less, including three-piece blackened tenders, Cajun rice and green beans.
“The Exchange is excited to welcome Popeyes to Cannon Air Force Base,” said Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice. “This new addition means more variety and convenience for the community.”
All of the Exchange’s more than 1,700 restaurants offer better-for-you menu choices to support Warfighters’ readiness and resiliency as part of the Exchange’s BE FIT program to promote healthy lifestyles.
Shopping the Cannon BX and dining at Exchange restaurants benefit Airmen and military families, as 100% of Exchange earnings support the community.
The Cannon Exchange Popeyes is at 1111 Eagle Claw Blvd. and is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
