#FlashbackFriday: Launch of BE FIT

The Exchange implemented the first BE FIT 360 concept shop in late 2014 at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. Since then, the Exchange has opened nearly 70 BE FIT 360 concept shops, which offer athletic apparel and footwear in a one-stop shop.

To commemorate National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, Flashback Friday is going back to 2009 when the BE FIT 360 program was launched.

Known then as Operation Be Fit, the total health initiative was focused on “improving the health of mind, body, and soul of every member of the military family.” The initial website featured healthy nutrition options, fitness programs, family activities and overall wellness information.

Flash forward 13 years, and the Exchange’s BE FIT 360 is a holistic approach to building a better you. The initiative has exploded from just a website to include better-for-you snack and meal choices in the Exchange’s restaurants and Express stores; BE FIT 360 concept shops inside select Exchange stores; online and social media resources; and wellness offerings. The Exchange’s BE FIT Hub is updated monthly with new nutrition deals, better-for-you dining, workouts and more.
