HEROES/Unsung Heroes Group Honors Those Who Gave Last Full Measure

Exchange associates arriving to headquarters on May 26 were presented with poppies in recognition of National Poppy Day (May 27).

Members of the HEROES Special Emphasis Program distributed the poppies, marking the third year the program has participated in National Poppy Day. HEROES recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of Exchange associates and retirees who are military Veterans, their spouses and family members.

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It serves as a reminder to Americans of the sacrifices made by Veterans while

HEROES/Unsung Heroes recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of Exchange associates and retirees who are military Veterans, their spouses and family members.

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars.
