The Exchange’s LinkedIn page, managed by the Exchange’s Human Resources directorate, has more than 32,000 followers.

Engaging and interacting with the organization’s content on LinkedIn, whether commenting on a post from the Exchange’s page or sharing Exchange content, helps share Exchange relevancy messaging for current and prospective associates.

“Our team uses LinkedIn as a way for associates to discover and share job openings with people they may know who have unique skill sets,” said Randy Ramirez, vice president, HR Talent. “I’m extremely proud of what we do here and encourage those who are tied to the mission to share the wonderful things happening.”

In her Your Idea Counts! submission, Business Analyst III Mandy Dooley, who works within the LinkedIn networking site to attract talent for the IT directorate, highlighted the need for associates to serve as brand ambassadors on the platform:

“It will also allow associates to share and promote ideas and philosophies about the Exchange culture in an effort to attract and maintain top talent. This will increase brand awareness and could possibly drive folks to our job postings,” Dooley wrote.

Associates can serve as brand ambassadors for the Exchange in a variety of ways including:

  • Following the Exchange on LinkedIn.
  • Listing the Exchange as the current employer on their LinkedIn profile.
  • Posting work accomplishments and anniversaries to their LinkedIn profile.
  • Liking, sharing and commenting on posts from the Exchange’s LinkedIn company page.

Dooley says the Exchange’s LinkedIn networking site is popular, averaging 15 active job postings a week for the IT directorate alone.

“The return on associate engagement on LinkedIn is securing new associates through that channel,” she said.
