With the cost of living and economic uncertainty on the rise, the work charities do to help those in need takes on even greater importance.

Exchange associates worldwide can help these charities assist those facing hardship by participating in this year’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) from Oct. 17 through Jan. 15.

All associates may make one-time contributions or schedule monthly donations at https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome using their credit or debit card or bank account. Contractors and retirees can donate as well. Exchange donors can use the code “LTREUU” at the payment screen to ensure their contribution is tied to the Exchange’s campaign.

Along with contributions from federal civilian, postal and military donors, pledges by Exchange associates support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

In 2021, Exchange associates contributed more than $36,000 to thousands of local, national and international causes. This year, the Exchange CFC committee has set a goal of $35,000 in pledges.

“CFC gives Team Exchange the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who need help the most,” said Vice President of Administration Tom Ockenfels, co-chairman of the Exchange’s CFC campaign. “Exchange associates have shown tremendous generosity during past campaigns, and this year’s goal gives them the opportunity to make an even bigger positive impact on those in need.”
