Josh Pitre
Services Operations–Alterations
Fort Leonard Wood
Josh has been at the Fort Leonard Wood Alterations shop for over two years. Recently he stepped in to help a customer with a special request. The customer wrote: “I walked into the Alterations shop with one of the weirdest requests they have ever seen. I requested they sew my custom patches all over the back of a button-down shirt to create a ‘party shirt’ for an upcoming ball. They were very hesitant at first because it was not a military necessity, and they were going to push me to the back of the line since it was not a priority. However, with clarification from a manager, and major help from Josh, my request became a reality. Shout out to Josh for taking on this project and making it his own creation. I absolutely loved it! In the future, I hope the shop will consider doing this for all customers attending a ball. Keep doing remarkable things for the soldiers putting their lives on the line every day.” Thank you, Josh, for going above and beyond!
Jordan Moore
Starbucks Foreman
Scott Air Force Base
Jordan has exceptional customer service skills. She is a born leader and the definition of a team player. She not only goes above and beyond for her team but is quick to assist other facilities that need help. Jordan is eager to learn and constantly looks for ways to improve her restaurant knowledge with the Exchange. She has helped improve productivity standards for her facility, and along with her team, has secured eight MILITARY STAR approvals. These things have contributed to their sales increasing 20% above our annual financial plan. Way to go, Jordan … job well done!
Lina Heitman
Roving Store Associate
Fort Hood–19th Street Express
Lina took over the Snack Avenue department at the 19th Street Express last year. She is constantly moving—keeping the warmers filled so our customers can grab-and-go during our peak times. All while she is preparing the next items for the warmers. Her knowledge of what our customers want is remarkable and is making an impact on the facility’s Snack Avenue sales. In fiscal November alone, sales were up 17% because of Lina’s inventory communications. We were able to make the top 10 list in Roller Grill Tornados. She takes pride in her area and manages her time to ensure the cleanliness of the Snack Avenue area throughout her entire shift. We should all be so lucky to have a Lina in our stores! She is truly an asset to the facility and the Exchange family.
