OPERATION: Call Out—Eastern Region
Eastern Region proudly recognizes Kayla Higgins, Lauren Mabirizi and Kai Nelson for their contributions and support of the Exchange mission. The focus on customer service is a priority, and it shows in the results! Thanks for all you do!
Kayla Higgins
Customer Experience Associate
Fort Bragg–82nd Express
Being a military brat, Kayla fully embraces and emulates our core value of Family Serving Family. While continuing to assist in covering shifts for others, she stepped up to learn our new Hunt Brothers Quick Serve Restaurant Program and Snack Avenue operation. Kayla’s dedication and ownership of all things Snack Avenue has led to outstanding financial results. In fiscal October, Snack Avenue sales were 80% above our prior year with $68,538 in sales, with $39,979 of those sales being Hunt Brothers Pizza. Our year-to-date Snack Avenue sales are currently 10% above prior year at $361,150. No matter what the situation, Kayla presents herself with a positive attitude and an outstanding work ethic, and displays a passion for our customers, consistently going above and beyond to ensure they are always taken care of.
Lauren Mabirizi
Receiver
Fort Jackson–Gate 1 Express
Lauren is hardworking, dedicated, and loyal to the Exchange mission and to the Gate 1 Express team. From May 1 to Nov. 15, she distinguished herself as a knowledgeable and detailed receiver, able to grasp new concepts quickly. She continuously goes above and beyond to seek out tasks to improve the overall Express operation, such as clearing the warehouse excess, stocking the shelves within the store, and assisting with customer service. Lauren assists outside the store, pressure-washing the parking lot and cleaning the gas pumps. Her contributions resulted in a year-to-date increase of 8% or $86,648 in retail sales. Thank you, Lauren for all your efforts to keep Gate 1 Express great!
Kai Nelson
Customer Service Supervisor
Joint Base Langley–Eustis
Kai consistently demonstrates excellent productivity and efficiency with the limited resources at Customer Service. He has a talent for completing challenging and unique tasks, such as working special orders, curbside pickup and deliveries, resolving customers’ online issues due to system malfunctions, and taking care of our in-store customers. Kai is always professional and courteous, constantly going above and beyond to provide the highest level of customer service and find the best solution for our customers. When we recently implemented the self-checkout program, Kai was instrumental in making it a smooth launch and continues to assist anywhere he is needed. We had a customer that fell ill, and Kai rushed to help the customer to the Customer Service area to rest and got them an electrolyte drink until medical attention arrived. This is one example of his commitment to our valued customers. Thank you, Kai for your hard work and dedication!
Congratulations to all three Exchange team members!!
Shout out to Kayla for taking good care of the Hunt Brothers Pizza program at Bragg.
