MILITARY STAR Kicks Off New Yearlong Challenge for Exchanges
Exchanges around the world have a chance to prove their MILITARY STAR® mettle with a new contest to determine the best of the best.
The MILITARY STAR Challenge Cup competition kicked off Feb. 1 and runs through the fiscal year. Exchanges compete on a store and region level to increase MILITARY STAR usage and new accounts, with prizes for each quarter, as well as for the year.
At the end of each quarter, the top Exchange in each region will receive $500 to host a team event, and region leadership will receive a note of congratulations from Exchange Credit Program Senior Vice President Tommy Ward.
At the close of FY2023, the top region will receive a trophy, while the top Exchange worldwide will receive a $1,000 prize and a trophy. The FY23 prizes will be awarded at the annual Main Store Manager/General Manager Conference.
“We’re excited to see some good-natured competition among our stores and regions,” Ward said. “The Challenge Cup contest is a fun way to encourage stores and reward associates for the incredible work they do in sharing the benefit of MILITARY STAR with their communities.”
The results measure card usage and new accounts and are calculated based on the individual Exchange’s percentage increase from the previous year. The average of an Exchange’s year-over-year percentage change in both categories will be the store’s final score. The penetration rate will serve as the tiebreaker in instances of a tie.
Follow the competition and see the quarterly winners in the Exchange Post and on Exchange associate social media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.
