Associate Wins Health and Safety Motto Contest After Years of Submissions

Exchange Loss Prevention Health & Safety Manager Guy Pelland presented Jones with her certificate at Exchange HQ on Feb. 8.

The saying, “Third time’s a charm” hits close to home for Exchange HQ Contract Specialist Katrina Jones, who was selected as this year’s Health and Safety Motto Contest winner.

“This was my third time participating in the contest,” Jones said. “It’s always fun to come up with different mottos.”

Jones entered several ideas including the winning motto, “It’s 2023! Safety is Key,” which demonstrates the importance of staying safe in the workplace—a requirement Jones believes is vital.

“Safety starts with our field associates. All associates, as well as our customers, deserve a safe environment to work and shop, and to have the safest year possible,” Jones said. “To do what’s best for the organization and our customers, we must prioritize safety. It can become a negative ripple effect if associates aren’t safe and end up injured.”
