Exchanges Worldwide Serve Up Added Value with Starbucks Connect
The Exchange’s Starbucks locations have implemented the Starbucks Connect program at nearly 80 locations worldwide, improving the dining experience for military shoppers.
The implementation began in November and was an upgrade overseen by Starbucks and executed by the Exchange’s Services and Food, Finance & Accounting, Information Technology and General Counsel directorates.
Exchange Starbucks locations worldwide have reported a positive impact to the bottom line since the rollout, which was completed in March. Starbucks sales were up 20% compared with March 2022, and the average order ticket was up 9% compared with March 2022. Mobile order transactions have steadily increased by 12% and rewards card transactions increased by 20% since the rollout.
“The rollout has allowed us to better serve our shoppers with the integration of technology and a complete rewards program, giving the best customers in the world more value when choosing to visit our Starbucks locations,” said Vice President of Food Darrin McCready. “The implementation has increased sales across stores and proven successful over the last four months.”
The Edwards Air Force Base Travel Center location celebrated the unveiling of the new system with a special social media video. The Fort Leavenworth PX also introduced the new system and their upgraded look to shoppers at the grand reopening event.
Exchange associates can score rewards at their local PX or BX Starbucks location, too. Visit your participating Starbucks store for more information.
