The Results Are In! MILITARY STAR Q1 Challenge Cup Standings
At the start of the fiscal year, MILITARY STAR® introduced a new way for Exchanges to compete for prizes—and bragging rights—with the MILITARY STAR Challenge Cup competition.
Now, the first-quarter results are in, and the top Exchanges are:
- Europe: OEF/OND Consolidated Exchange (includes Exchanges across Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan)
- Eastern: Fort Belvoir/Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Exchange
- Central: Columbus AFB Exchange
- Pacific: Camp Zama Exchange
- Western: McChord Field Exchange
The results are based on each Exchange’s increase in card usage and new accounts over the previous year. The average of an Exchange’s year-over-year percentage change in both categories is the store’s final score.
The quarterly leaders each receive $500 to host a team event. At the end of the year, the top Exchange worldwide will receive a $1,000 prize and the Challenge Cup.
“We wanted to hit the ground running to start off FY2023, and the Challenge Cup competition has been a great way to do that,” said Exchange Credit Program Senior Vice President Tommy Ward. “We look forward to this friendly competition heating up even more throughout the year.”
Follow the competition and see the quarterly winners in the Exchange Post and on Exchange associate social media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.
Congratulations Jonnie Benavente and the rest of team McChord!!
