DoorDash Express Expansion Continues to Roll
The Exchange’s partnership with DoorDash continues to deliver with the recent expansion of the service to 26 Express locations.
DoorDash at the Express has proved popular with shoppers. The new locations were all added in the last month and have contributed to strong FY2023 sales: More than 18,000 orders have been placed, totaling $363,000 in sales so far.
“The strong sales we’re seeing shows that this service is resonating with military communities,” said Vice President of Consumables Martha Robuck. “The Exchange is meeting a need of our shoppers and making their lives easier by offering delivery from Expresses.”
Popular items that shoppers are having delivered include pizza, Tornados, water and other non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and more. Expresses at Fort Drum, Fort Cavazos, Fort Gordon, Fort Moore and Schofield Barracks have seen the most orders and sales.
The Exchange first introduced DoorDash at Expresses with three pilot locations launching in September 2022, following the success of the partnership for Exchange restaurants. By the end of 2022, 18 Expresses were offering delivery.
The service offers deliveries of snacks, drinks and meals, including orders from Express quick-serve programs such as Hunt Brothers Pizza, Chopz, Eddie Peppers and more.
“We’re excited to see the success of this partnership and look forward to adding more locations throughout the year,” Robuck said.
