Konnal Callahan
Warehouse Worker
Langley Air Force Base

Konnal’s hard work and dedication to the Exchange mission are displayed daily. He not only fulfills his regular duties— which include offloading trucks, receiving, customer orders and working with vendors/distributors—he also supports and coordinates Puerto Rico and Honduras’ order requests.  Konnal never hesitates to assist wherever needed throughout the facility and his can-do/will-do attitude is highly commended. He exemplifies the Exchange core values and truly is an asset to the Langley Express!

Ermina Manalang
Food Service Foreman
Fort Eustis

Ermina is a military spouse who has been working for the Exchange for 11 years. in February 2022, when our Subway Express closed, she was transferred to the Eustis Starbucks. In her time at Starbucks, she has become the store manager’s right hand—always eager to learn something new and the first to step up to assist new baristas. Ermina is always willing to work extra shifts when needed.  Her organizational skills and time management are second to none. Ermina takes pride in her work, always engaging with the customers to ensure they are happy with their drinks. She is amazing and we are honored to have her at Fort Eustis!

Ralph Hedgepeth
Barber Shop
Fort Eustis

Ralph has been working at the Fort Eustis Barber Shop since 1975 and has been cutting hair since before most of his customers were born. At one time, his dad was the manager of the shop and gave him his first job cutting hair Tuesday and Thursdays while he continued to attend school Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Ralph does more than just cut hair. His attitude and professionalism brighten the day of anyone who enters his shop. Ralph has a real commitment to his trade and at Fort Eustis, we appreciate him more every day!
