Wiesbaden PX, the Global Connection Winner, Unites its Community
For the USAG Wiesbaden Exchange, the team’s commitment to diversity and inclusion paid off—for the world to see.
The medium-size PX was crowned the worldwide winner in the Exchange’s Global Connection contest, marking the first time Europe Region took home the organization’s top honor for dedication to diversity, equaltity and inclusion.
“This is a big win for Wiesbaden and a big win for Europe Region,” said General Manager Jordan Flint, who accepted the award for the team during the MSM/GM Conference this spring. “We are happy to be recognized for our commitment to the military community and to the Exchange mission.”
Wiesbaden received the distinction for its contribution to the military community through events and partnerships with local groups.
During 2022, the Wiesbaden PX collaborated with Wiesbaden High School’s JROTC for a Veterans Day coin presentation, partnered with Human Resources to recruit team members from diverse backgrounds, celebrated Army Heritage Month with the garrison and the Army’s 246th birthday with the community.
“The annual Veterans Day coin presentation event is my favorite community event that we do,” Flint said. “Bringing future heroes to honor our Nation’s past heroes gave us a chance to prove the Exchange’s relevancy to the military community.”
Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity & Inclusion Associate Officer Valerie Wagoner praised the team’s efforts.
“Wiesbaden’s accomplishments were very impressive,” she said. “The team established the Exchange as an important part of the military community.”
For Flint’s team, the PX is the heart of the Wiesbaden community.
“We love being a gathering spot for the community,” Flint said. “The PX … plays a big part in bringing everyone together. Our shoppers are part of the Exchange family.”
