Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Welcomes Freedom Frames to Main Exchange

Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson cut the ribbon on Freedom Frames at its main Exchange Friday.

A Veteran-owned framing, engraving and woodworking business, Freedom Frames offers artwork prints, gifts for retirements and permanent changes of station, wood plaques, shadow boxes for awards and coins, guidon framing and more.

Services Tech Mazie Purdue, Freedom Frames Manager Marcia Bradley, Freedom Frames Manager Miles Bradley, Co-owner Dean Phillips, Owner Michael Bradley, Owner Nicole Bradley, Exchange General Manager Keola Chan and Services Business Manager Dahlia Haliburton were in attendance for the grand opening. The ceremony included prize giveaways and demonstrations, while drawings for Freedom Frames gift certificates will take place next week.

“The grand opening of Freedom Frames is just one more reminder of the superb support we receive from our local Exchange,” said Air Force Col. Erik Dunn, Commander of the 673rd Mission Support Group at JBER. “General Manager Keola Chan and the rest of her leadership team are constantly looking for more and better ways to support the JBER community, and we absolutely appreciate their partnership.”

The shop at JBER is Freedom Frames’ third Exchange location in Alaska, joining Eielson Air Force Base and Fort Wainwright.

“We are thrilled to welcome Freedom Frames to the Exchange,” said JBER Exchange General Manager Keola Chan. “They provide a unique way for Soldiers and Airmen to showcase accomplishments and memories from their service. We know they will be a valuable partner at the JBER Exchange.”

Freedom Frames Managers Miles Bradley and Marcia Bradley with Brig. Gen. Louis M. Lapointe, who was the first customer at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson store.
