Exchange Leaders to Share Their Stories of Success During ¡HOLA! Lunch and Learn Today

At 11:30 a.m. Central Time Oct. 4, Exchange Special Emphasis Program ¡HOLA! will present a lunch and learn for National Hispanic Heritage Month titled “Paving a Path to Successful Leadership,” featuring Exchange leaders Jesse Martinez, Randy Ramirez and Elizabeth Colon.

The guest speakers will focus on cultural awareness and share their own stories of success.

Martinez, Pacific Region Senior Vice President, began his Exchange career in 1992 as a college trainee at Fort Lewis, Washington. Since then, he has held positions across the United States, Japan and Korea, including Operations Manager, Sales & Merchandise Manager, Store Manager, General Manage and Area Manager. He has been a Regional Vice President and was Central Region Senior Vice President before being named to his current position in January 2023.

Ramirez, Vice President of HR Talent, began his Exchange career in 1984 as a sales clerk at Kirtland AFB, N.M. Since that time, Ramirez has held a variety of Exchange positions including sales associate, general clerk and personnel clerk, training instructor, Training & Development Specialist and Human Resources Manager at various installations.

At the headquarters in Dallas, he has served as Human Resources Business Partner, Finance & Accounting Directorate; Career Manager and Senior Career Manager, Organizational Development and Career Management; Eastern and Western Region Human Resources Manager; Chief, Employee Relations & HR Field Support; Director, Career Assignments; Director, HR Operations; Director, and Vice President of HR Operations. Ramirez was named Vice President of HR Talent in January 2021.

Elizabeth Colon is store manager at the Fort Belvoir Exchange. Since 2008, she has held management positions at the Fort Campbell, Eglin Air Force Base, Patrick AFB and MacDill AFB Exchanges before coming to Fort Belvoir in April 2023.

Chief Communication Officer Judd Anstey and South East Region Vice President Tony Pares are executive champions of HOLA! (Hispanic Outreach, Leadership & Awareness). Jose Hernandez, director of Corporate Communication and Alberto Perez, Credit Program manager, are co-program managers. Dora Trillo, Marketing art director, is assistant program manager.
