F.E. Warren Cuts Ribbon on Expanded Express
F.E. Warren Air Force Base welcomed an upgraded Express to the installation Oct. 16.
90th Missile Wing Commander Col. Johnny L. Galbert and Acting Command Chief of the 90th Missile Wing Chief Master Sgt. Mary Trent were joined by Denver Consolidated General Manager Megan Rall, F.E. Warren BX Main Store Manager Gina Janoushek, Express Store Manager Sarimar Vega and Express Shift Manager Diana Cleveland for the grand opening.
The Express features nearly 5,600 square feet of retail space after taking over an adjacent former auto care center. It includes an expanded Snack Avenue assortment as well as a Hunt Brothers Pizza and Eddie Peppers Mexican Grill.
The opening festivities included free food samplings, swag giveaways and complimentary gift cards for those in attendance.
“The F.E. Warren team is thrilled to welcome this improved Express to our community,” Rall said. “The expanded options and variety will be valuable Quality-of-Life additions for our Airmen, their families and our visitors.”
The $3.6 million project, approved in August 2021 and funded 95% by the Exchange, completed construction in 10 months. The remaining $170,000 was contributed by the Air Force for replacement of the fire alarm systems. 100% of Exchange earnings go toward supporting military communities – 60% to Quality-of-Life programs and the remaining 40% to improving the shopper experience, including upgrades like the F.E. Warren Express.
The expansion increased the available retail space by over 1,300 square feet, allowing F.E. Warren to offer a much wider array of food, drink and merchandise for shoppers at the Wyoming base.
The Express is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Congratulations FE Warren team!
